ISG Telecom Responds to Worldcom Crisis By Expanding Its Negotiating Staff

Tampa, FL/EWORLDWIRE/June 27, 2002 --- Effective immediately, ISG-Telecom Consultants has doubled its staff of contract negotiators in an effort to help major companies migrate to other long distance carriers in the wake of Worldcom fraud charges and potential bankruptcy filing.

On June 27, 2002, WorldCom, Inc. was slapped with fraud charges by U.S. regulators a day after admitting it hid almost $4 billion of costs, drawing the communications giant closer to bankruptcy in one of the biggest accounting scandals on record.

Since the 1996 Telco Act, ISG has been an integral part of the telecommunications industry by creating Competitive Local Exchange Carriers and Long Distance companies through certifications and contract negotiations.

With many national and international organizations scrambling to find a fix to the potential Worldcom bankruptcy filing, ISG Telecom will re-focus its negotiating staff and makes its talent available to Fortune 1000 companies in an effort to solidify favorable long term contracts with other carriers as well as the successful migration of their long distance and data needs.

With the expansion of ISG’s negotiation staff, new offices have been opened in Tampa, Florida for the co-ordination of all contract reviews, carrier implementations and migrations. The Tampa staff will be overseen by Matthew Brown, Executive Vice-President of ISG-Telecom.

“We are disgruntled about the recent turn of events in the Telecommunications Sector but are pleased with the expansion of our staff, here in Tampa, and the opportunity to help many companies who lack the internal personnel get through this negotiation process and telecommunications crisis here in the USA," says Matthew Brown.

``Today's announcement builds on our devotion to the success of the telecommunications industry as a whole,'' said Joseph Isaacs, ISG-Telecom President.
